Corrections Policy

Corrections Policy

RW LYNCH commits to providing accurate and reliable legal and business insights to our readers. We strive for precision in all published content. Despite our diligent efforts, errors can occasionally occur.

We believe in transparent communication and a prompt correction process. This policy outlines our approach to addressing inaccuracies and ensuring our content remains trustworthy.

Types of Corrections

We classify errors into three main categories, each with a specific response:

  • Minor Fixes: These include typographical errors, grammatical mistakes, broken links, or minor phrasing adjustments that do not alter the factual meaning of the content. We correct these without a formal notice within the article.
  • Significant Corrections: This category covers factual inaccuracies, misleading information, or incorrect data that could impact a reader’s understanding. We address these with a clear notice within the article itself.
  • Retractions: A retraction occurs when an article is fundamentally flawed, based on false premises, or contains serious ethical violations. We remove such content or replace it with a retraction statement.

How Corrections Are Noted

For significant corrections, a dated editor’s note will appear at the top or bottom of the affected article. This note will explain what was changed, when the change was made, and why. Retracted articles will be replaced by a notice explaining the retraction, or the content will be removed from our site entirely, with an archival record kept.

Reporting an Error

We welcome our readers to help us maintain accuracy. If you find an error on our website, please email us directly. Include the article title, its specific URL, and a clear description of the error.

You can send error reports to: [email protected]

Review and Timeline

Our editorial team will review all reported errors promptly. We aim to investigate and address significant reports within 2-3 business days. The time taken to implement a correction may vary depending on the complexity of the issue.

We will verify the information and make the necessary corrections or publish a clarification as appropriate. We strive to complete the entire process as quickly as possible.

Transparency and History

RW LYNCH believes in full transparency. All significant correction notices remain permanently visible on the articles where they appear. We do not attempt to hide or remove evidence of past errors. This commitment helps us build and maintain trust with our readership.
